Dr. John Livingston, D.C

Dr. John Livingston has been practicing as a chiropractic physician for 18 years; he is a third generation chiropractor; his father and his grandfather practiced in Rhode Island for 44 years and for 50 years, respectively, before they each retired from private practice.

Dr. Livingston graduated valedictorian from Pilgrim High School in Warwick, Rhode Island in June, 1986 and completed a four year biology/pre-medical program at Dartmouth College, in Hanover, New Hampshire, earning a citation for his work in physics and bachelor of arts degree (B.A.), prior to entering graduate studies at the National College of Chiropractic in the fall of 1990. There, he completed a 5 year equivalency program in chiropractic and a clinical internship, and obtained his bachelor of science degree (B.S.) before he graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian of his class, earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) in December, 1993. Nominated by his peers, Dr. Livingston won the Joseph Janse Outstanding Graduate award for his outstanding contribution to his graduating class.

Following graduation, Dr. Livingston was appointed as an associate professor for one year from 1993-1994 in the National College of Chiropractic Clinics teaching and assessment center under the Chief of Staff, Dr. David Wickes, D.C., where he trained interns in the practices of clinical assessment and where he published a research paper in the Topics of Clinical Chiropractic journal with Dr. Wickes, D.C. He passed 3 parts of the National Chiropractic Board examination along with state board examinations in Illinois, Rhode Island, and Ohio, before moving to Ohio in the fall of 1994, where he worked as an associate physician for 6 years in Streetsboro, Ohio. prior to starting private practice (Livingston Chiropractic Center) in Solon, Ohio, in 2000. There, he practiced for 7 years, before moving the practice to Warrensville Heights, Ohio in 2007, the current location.

Dr. Livingston has completed a 100 hour post-doctoral course in Applied Kinesiology, sponsored by the International College of Kinesiology (I.C.A.K.), along with hundreds of hours in continuing education in chiropractic and clinical nutrition since that time. His passion is to help people to achieve optimal health without the reliance on drugs or surgery, and he has been working closely with medical doctors, physical therapists, massage therapists, and other practitioners to provide a multidisciplinary approach to modern health care.

Dr. Livingston has been Certified by the Bureau of Worker's Compensation for more than 17 years, and has treated thousands of patients with work-related injuries.

Dr. Hyo H. (Paul) Kim, M.D.

In 1982 Dr Kim graduated from Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. He began his internship at Detroit-Macomb Hospital in Detroit. In 1988, Dr. Kim began his career locally by becoming the Chief resident of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Cleveland MetroHealth Hospital. in August of 1988 Dr. Kim became Medical Director for the department of Taumatic Brain Injury at Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Warren. Only a year later, Dr Kim was advanced to the Medical Director of Chronic Pain Rehabilitation at Hillside.

Dr. Kim joined the prestigious team at Livingston Chiropractic Center in 2010. He currently helps to treat chronic pain and provides nerve conduction studies at the center.

Kim is Board Certified in Pain Management in the State of Ohio, and is also Certified in Worker's Compensation for the State of Ohio.

Pat Gates LMT

Pat Gates is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Structural Integrator, Worker's Comp Provider, Adjunct Massage Therapy Instructor, and Reiki Master. Pat became interested in bodywork after she took her first Reiki class in 1996 and worked through ensuing years to become a Reiki Master. During that period she volunteered at a local Reiki Clinic working with clients suffering from life threatening illnesses. As fulfilling as this was, there was something missing. In May, 1999, Pat enrolled in the Cleveland School of Massage to learn basic massage for relaxation. She worked part time providing relaxation massage while holding a full time job in the business world until 2001. In September, 2001, she felt compelled to return to school to earn her Massage Therapy License. She graduated from the National Institute of Massotherapy in September, 2002, and passing her State Boards, received her license in January, 2003.

Pat began working with Dr. John Livingston in April of 2003 and, continues to work with Dr. Livingston today providing care for those injured on the job or automobile accidents as well as repetitive use injuries and relaxation massage.
